MARS Air Ambulance
The flight team comprises a doctor, intensive care nurse & two pilots. MARS can transfer patients from the scene of accident to the nearest appropriate medical facility in and out of Zimbabwe. All medical flight staff have attended international aviation medicine and flight medical attendant courses. On board is equipment of intensive care unit standard including comprehensive drug range. To date Air Ambulance has performed over 2750 successful evacuations.
Evacuation By Air Ambulance
MARS provides a quick reliable air evacuation where there is a medical need, to a hospital in an area where the medical standards are higher and more acceptable according to knowledge & experience. The MARS evacuation service is based in Harare servicing all neighboring countries and beyond and boasts over of over 20 years aero-medical service experience. Evacuation by Air Ambulance provides a quick and reliable repatriation by private air ambulance to home country or any other country upon request.

The MARS medical personnel are in constant contact with the Control Centre from the onset of responding to an emergency call, to reporting on a patient’s condition and organizing hospitalization thereafter. Powerful and reliable radio communication equipment link the Control Centre to the MARS medical air craft, ground ambulances & medical personnel. This also means that no matter how remote the area, MARS will be able to communicate with medical professionals there.
